Math Tutor Chat
Ask a math question and keep the conversation going. Problems the exact engine can read are answered with verified, step-by-step working; anything else is answered by the AI tutor and clearly labelled.

How the tutor answers
Every message is first given to the exact math engine. If it is an equation, a derivative, an integral, arithmetic, a percentage or a statistics question the engine understands, the reply is the engine's worked solution, with the same Verified by the exact math engine label as the solver.
Questions in words, such as why a method works or how to start a proof, go to the AI tutor. Its reply carries the label AI explanation, not engine-verified. If the AI tutor is busy, the tutor says so instead of making something up, and suggests how to type the problem as math so the engine can solve it.
Your conversations
If the site has a database, each chat is saved and listed on the left so you can return to it. Chats are tied to a private cookie in this browser, not to your name, and you can delete any chat at any time. If the site has no database, the conversation lives only in this tab and disappears when you close it; the page tells you which mode is active.

Frequently asked questions
Is the tutor always right?
Replies labelled Verified by the exact math engine were computed and checked by the engine. Replies labelled AI explanation, not engine-verified come from a language model and can contain mistakes, so check them against the solver or a calculator.
Who can see my chats?
Saved chats are linked to a random cookie in your browser, and only a hash of it is stored. Anyone using the same browser profile can see them, so delete chats you do not want to keep.
How long can a message be?
Up to 2000 characters. The tutor reads the most recent 20 messages of a conversation when it replies.
Why did I get a notice instead of an answer?
The engine could not read the message as math and the AI tutor was busy. Wait a moment and send it again, or rewrite the problem in math form, for example 2x + 5 = 17 or integrate x e^x.
