Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what MathSolver Pro does with your information when you use the solver, the AI tutor, the calculators, the practice tools and the articles. It describes what the software actually does today.

Who we are and how to reach us

MathSolver Pro is run by MathSolver Pro. For any privacy question or request, write to ammobileishere@gmail.com.

Using the site without an account

The solver, the calculators, practice and the articles work without registering. Calculators and the graphing tools compute in your browser. Problems you send to the main solver are processed on our server to return a solution. We never need your name or other personal details to solve a problem, so please do not type personal information into the solver.

Accounts (optional)

  • If you create an account, we store your email address, the name you give and your password as a salted hash (never the password itself). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address and account identifier from that provider.
  • While you are signed in, a session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Each session is stored with your browser type so that sessions can be ended.
  • With an account we store your saved chats, practice attempts, saved items, usage counts for your plan and, if tutor memory is on, short notes about topics you found hard. You can turn tutor memory off in your account settings.

AI tutor and explanations

  • Problems are solved first by our exact math engine. Only when it cannot read a question (for example a free-form question, a word problem or a request to explain a graph) is the text sent to an AI service.
  • That AI service is either an AI provider connected to our server or the public Pollinations text service (operated by Myceli.AI OÜ, Estonia), which your browser contacts directly. Only the conversation needed for the answer is sent, never your name, email address or account details.
  • AI answers are labelled "AI explanation, not engine-verified". Chats without an account are linked only to a random cookie in this browser; chats in an account are stored until you delete them.

Images and PDFs

When you photograph or upload a problem, the image is read in your browser with on-device text recognition (OCR), and only the recognised text is sent when you solve it. If a server-side image reader is used, the image is processed only to read the math and is not stored. PDFs you pick are read in memory to find the problems and are not stored. Crop photos to the problem itself so that no faces or names are included.

Analytics, cookies and browser storage

  • We count page views and feature use with first-party analytics that sets no cookie. Each event stores the page path, the language and a pseudonymous visitor code that changes every month, made from a keyed hash of your IP address and browser type; the IP address and browser type themselves are not stored. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not counted.
  • Google Analytics, with IP anonymisation turned on, counts visits and shows which pages are useful. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland (recognised by the country of their IP address, which this site's own server looks up in an offline table without sending it anywhere or storing it; only when that is unknown, by the time zone their device reports) are asked first: until they choose "Allow" it runs in Consent Mode with analytics cookies switched off and sends only anonymous, cookieless pings, and "Decline" keeps it that way. Everyone else is counted anonymously without a banner. With consent, or outside Europe, Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, kept up to two years). Ad storage and ad personalisation always stay off, and the data is not used for advertising. You can opt out at any time by blocking cookies for this site in your browser settings or by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout); in Europe, clearing this site's data shows the question again.
  • Cookies we set: ms_session (keeps you signed in, 30 days), ms_oauth (a Google or Apple sign-in in progress, 10 minutes) and ms_chat (your anonymous chat history, 1 year). They cannot be read by page scripts.
  • Your browser's local storage keeps your theme and things you save on this device, such as graphs. It stays on your device.

Technical data and security

  • To prevent abuse, the server counts requests per IP address for short periods in memory.
  • Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, time, page and browser type) for security and operations.
  • Passwords are stored only as hashes, sign-in cookies cannot be read by page scripts, and the site is served over HTTPS.

Payments and email

If you buy a paid plan, the payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. If we send account emails, such as an address check or a password reset, your address is passed to our email delivery provider only for that purpose.

Service providers

We share data only with the providers needed to run the site: hosting, the AI services described above, Google Analytics (anonymised visit counts), Google or Apple if you choose to sign in with them, and Stripe and our email provider when those features are used. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

How long we keep data

Account data, saved chats and practice history are kept while your account exists. When you delete your account it is deactivated at once and permanently erased after 30 days. Analytics events contain no direct identifiers.

Your choices and rights

In your account settings you can download a copy of your data, turn tutor memory off and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to complain to a data protection authority. For any request, email ammobileishere@gmail.com.

Children

The site is designed for students, including those under 18, and no account is needed to use it. Students under 13, or under the minimum age in their country, should create an account only with a parent's or teacher's permission. If you believe a child gave us personal data without permission, write to ammobileishere@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Questions are welcome on the contact page or at ammobileishere@gmail.com.
